Abstract

This research uses library research with a qualitative approach originating from books and journals. Medieval European history is often understood as a dark age that was counterproductive in all areas of life. In fact, European history made important contributions to modern civilization in an era that lasted as long as literature.

To know, study and understand a very complex and complex historical process, it is important to consider the various events that occurred in Europe, from the invasion of barbarian tribes to the expansion of Europe.
