Abstract

Humans acquire language skills from birth which then inherit first language skills from their mothers. Language is the only human property that can never be separated from all human activities and movements as long as human existence, as a cultured and social creature. Humans have the ability to speak spoken and written language. there are obstacles / disturbances in spoken language. Speech disorder is a complaint of most parents who are eventually diagnosed as a multisystem development disorder, such as slurred. Slurred is the inability to pronounce one unique letter, generally the phoneme / r /, although there are also some people who can actually say the phoneme / r /, but lisp for other letters. This research was conducted on two subjects, namely children aged 6 years and adults aged 20 years. This study aims to determine the form of phonas in children aged 6 years and 20 years. The research data were obtained using descriptive methods with qualitative data analysis techniques. After observing and managing the existing data from these observations, the results show that the form of the phonemes of children and adults who experience slurred disorder is the pronunciation of the phoneme / r / becomes / q / at the beginning, middle, and end of words. in the pronunciation does not change the meaning.
