Analisis Kesalahan Tata Bahasa pada Penulisan Recount Text
In learning a foreign language, producing error cannot be avoided, especially in writing. It is because the students should be able to combine and express their feeling,experience or opinion in a good written form. In making a good writing, the students should master the grammar first. There are differences in the Indonesian language grammar with English grammar.This is why the students often make error in writing. Error analysis become the beneficial way in identifiying the error made by the students.The research problems in this study were: 1) What kinds of error are made by the eight graders of SMP PGRI 4 Malang in writing recount text? 2) What are the most dominants error made by the eight graders of SMP PGRI 4 Malang in writing recount text?. The purposes of this study were to:1) To identify the kinds of errors made by the eight graders of SMP PGRI 4 Malang in writing recount text. 2) To identify the dominants errors made by the eight graders of SMP PGRI 4 Malang in writing recount text.The research design of this study was descriptive with qualitative research. To collect the data, the writer uses writing task about recount text by students of SMP PGRI 4 Malang.The result of this study showed that the students were producing some errors in writing recount text. The most errors made by the students were omission are 69 errors or 70,88%, error of addition are 17 errors or 17,70%, error of misformation are 4 errors or 4,17%, error of misordering are 6 errors or 6,25%. From the calculation of the data above, it can be concluded that error of omission is the most frequent errors occur that done by the eight graders students of SMP PGRI 4 Malang with the percentage of error 70,88% and followed by error of addition with the percentage of the errors are 17,70% while error of misordering 6,25% and misformation is 4,17%. From this finding, all of the students make errors and they do not apply the rules in English.
