Abstract

This study aimed to produce student worksheet on the respiratory system based on the RTPS learning model and assisted by flipbook media in empowering HOTS for the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 3 Wewewa Selatan. This study was developed with a 4-D model consisting of defining (Define), designing (Design), development (Develop) and dissemination (Disseminate). The data were collected by using questionnaires. The developed product, then, was validated by teaching material expert and media expert. The results from teaching material expert showed that 75% of the developed material was feasible. Meanwhile, the obtained evaluation from media expert indicated that 66% of the developed product was also feasible. Next, to know the effectiveness of the worksheets, tried out was carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Wewewa Selatan. Based based on the test results, 20 students reached scores above the minimum passing grade; while 15% of the scores were under the school minimum passing grade. Based on the results of the research, it can be said the product of this research can be used as it can create interesting and fun in learning Biology
