Abstract

There are nine interrelated axioms in the initial discussion of the real number system. The nine axioms include properties in addition to operations and properties in multiplication operations. Each axiom has an important meaning and concept as a basis for understanding the concept and becomes the basis for being able to prove further theorems. So far, learning activities are only classical in understanding concepts in students and obtaining insufficient understanding results as capital for students to prove theorems. The axioms presented in mobile learning can help students optimize their ability to understand mathematical concepts in real number axioms. The results of the initial study showed that students could not write down an axiom correctly and completely among the nine axioms, out of 10 students only 2 students could explain 9 axioms completely, and 10 students were unable to provide examples of the use of axioms. After using mobile learning media, there was an increase, 7 students were able to explain correctly, completely and provide examples of the use of axioms.
