Peran Tindakan Sosial Masyarakat dalam Ritual Pembagunan Rumah Suku di Desa Dubesi Kecamatan Nanaet Dubesi Kabupaten Belu Nusa Tenggara Timur

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of community social action in the ritual of building tribal houses and the goals and benefits contained in the ritual of building tribal houses. Role is the position or status of a person in social life who carries out rights and obligations. In the ritual of building a tribal house, each has its own role, especially in the process of carrying out the ritual of building a tribal house. Social action is an individual action that is directed to others and has meaning both for oneself and for others.

The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method. This method is used to be able to understand and provide a clear picture of the problems related to the content of this research. This study uses a qualitative approach because the researcher considers the problems studied are quite complex and dynamic so that the data obtained from the resource persons are collected using a natural method, namely direct interviews with the resource persons so that they get natural answers.

The results of this study indicate that the process of carrying out the ritual of building a tribal house follows four rules that must be carried out, namely: haleka hanematan, Tuda Fos, Hamutuk Ibun hamutuk Lian, and Sona Fahi. And also in the ritual process of implementing the construction of tribal houses, it is divided into four stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, the inauguration stage and the closing stage. The results of the study also show that the one who plays an important role in the ritual of building a tribal house is the malun because the malun is a person who comes from the descendants of the male ancestor of the founder of the tribal house that is being built.
