Abstract

The development of this video media is based on the fact that students' speaking skills are still less. Therefore, the researcher conducted this research to develop English learning videos as a resource to help students learn English and improve their speaking skills. The research method used by the researcher is research and development (R&D) with the model developed by Borg and Gall. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The data that resulted were analyzed quantitatively and descriptively qualitatively. The results of this research are (1) the product development process that has been produced from this research and development is obtained through several processes, namely product made or design, design validation, design revision. (2) the level of validity of the learning media is 80%, thus the learning video is included in the valid/feasible category. (3) the product trial level regarding student responses to the learning video media that has been developed from the small group trial obtained a final result of 86 and the large group trial obtained the final result of 89.7 it is proven that all students are interested in the developed learning video media to improve their speaking skills and the video media developed in this study were successfully developed and used as learning media.
