Abstract

One alternative learning resource that can be used as a solution to these problems is to develop Project-Based Handouts on Human Respiratory System Materials that are suitable for student needs. Handouts that are applied in addition to being interesting can be combined with learning models that can further motivate students. One such model is Project Based. The objectives of the study were, (1) to determine the form of project-based handouts on the respiratory system material in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kodi Balaghar, (2) to determine the development of project-based handouts on the respiratory system material in class VIII humans at SMP Negeri 1 Kodi Balaghar that met the criteria. valid, practical and effective. This research method is research and development (Research and Development). The development model used in this research is the Thiagarajan 4D model, which consists of define, design, and develop stages. This research is limited to the develop stage and ends in the validation activities of material experts and media experts. The research instrument used is a needs analysis questionnaire and expert validation questionnaire. The data collection technique was by distributing needs analysis questionnaires to biology teachers and validation questionnaires to material experts and media experts. Data analysis technique with qualitative descriptive.The results showed that the development of project-based handouts on respiratory system materials in class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kodi Balaghar received a validation score of 88% from material experts and a validation score of 83.3% from design experts. The general validation result is that 85.65% is included in the category of feasible to be developed after going through slight revisions or improvements. So it can be seen that project- based handouts on the human respiratory system material can be used as teaching materials for class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kodi Balaghar.
