Abstract

This research is an development research or known as research and development (R&D). The purpose of this study is to develop an Indonesian language learning module with explanatory text material that is used as an alternative module for studying from home during the covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses a Borg and Gall development model consisting of seven stages, namely needs analysis, planning stage, module or design draft development stage, validation and trial stage, revision stage, limited field trial stage, and final product stage. The instrument used is a questionnaire of the feasibility and practicality of the module. The research subjects were one material expert lecturer and one media expert lecturer at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang, one Indonesian language teacher, and 27 students of SDI Sabilul Khoir. The data from the questionnaire analysis by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component, namely the validation of material experts 96,9%, media experts 90%, and teachers 96% with the achievement of criteria very feasible to use. While the results of the questionnaire analysis of student responses by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component of the percentage of practical achiecement of the explanatory text learning module developed are practical and effective for use with percentages of 92%, 86%, 96%, 90%, 88%, 94%, 84%,100%, and 80% with very interesting categories and stongly agree to be used in learning. Based on the results of these data, it can be concluded that the module has been feasible and practical to be used as teaching material in supporting the teaching and learning process on explanatory text material at SDI Sabilul Khoir for class V.
