Abstract

The module is the smallest unit of teaching and learning programs that students learn individually or or learners to themselves. This study aims to develop a module based on the science, environment, technology and society (SETS) approach to the material of the respiratory system and digestive system in humans that is suitable for use in learning biology. This development research method refers to the 4D model which has four stages, namely: 1) define ( definition ), 2) design (planning or design), 3) development (development ), 4) disseminate (deployment). The stages used in the development of this module are limited to only 3 stages, namely define, design and development. The results of the validation of the first material expert, the percentage was 86%, the second percentage was greater than the first, which was 96%, with very valid criteria. And for the results of the first validation, the media expert got a percentage of 89 %, the second by media experts was greater than the first validation of 94% with very feasible criteria, so it can be concluded that the development of modules based on the science, environment, technology and society (SETS) approach to the material The validity level of the respiratory system and digestive system in humans is seen to be very feasible and can be used in learning.
