Abstract
The purpose of this study is to describe the learning process and the obstacles experienced in learning to write short stories using online poll media which includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and analysis of the constraints that occur in learning to write short stories using online poll media. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study approach. Sources of data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning to write short stories using online poll media is quite effective in increasing student motivation. The main obstacle lies in the device used as an intermediary for learning and the internet network used during the online learning process.
