Pengembangan Media Panama pada Materi Bangun Datar di Kelas VII SMP Katolik Marsudi Siwi Malang
Learning using computer media can stimulate students to do exercises, carry out learning activities because of the availability of animated cartoons, colors, and music. The results of observations at Marsudi Siwi Catholic Middle School Malang show that the use of mathematics learning media is very minimal. This is one of the reasons why students have difficulty understanding mathematics and are less interested in mathematics. The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the development of panama media using the Macromedia Flash application on the Bangun Datar material and (2) to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of panama media using Macromedia flash. The method used in this research is the Four-D device development method which consists of 4 stages, namely: (1) define; (2) design or design; (3) develop or develop; and (4) disseminate or spread. The development stage is only limited to the develop stage. Data collection techniques used expert assessment questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and test questions for students' conceptual understanding. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The subjects of this study were students of class VII A of Marsudi Siwi Catholic Middle School Malang. Based on the research results, Panama media uses Macromedia flash which meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity of the media was indicated by the results of the material expert's assessment with an average value of 3.57 (valid criteria and without revision), while the media expert's assessment obtained an average value of 3.63 (valid criteria and without revision). The practicality of the media is indicated by the assessment of the student response questionnaire in the small group test with an average value of 3.51 (very practical criteria), while in the large group test an average value of 3.48 (very practical criteria) is obtained. The effectiveness of the media is indicated by the results of the conceptual understanding test with an average value of 75.83 (good category).
