Abstract
The values of character education in the collection of Inspirational short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra. This research is motivated by the values of character education based on the 2013 curriculum in Muchlas and Hariyanto that since the Old Order, character education has colored the curriculum in Indonesia with the name of character education which is integrated in various fields of study with the foundation of cultural development, character education. character is more emphasized on the relationship between humans, between students and teachers, between students and parents, and between students. This study aims to (1) determine the religious value in the collection of inspirational short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra, (2) to determine the value of social care in the collection of inspirational short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra, (3) To find out the value of appreciating achievement in the collection of Inspirational short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra, (4) To find out the value of being friendly/communicative in a collection of inspirational short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra, (5) To find out the value of love of peace in a collection of inspiring short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, mayra. This research method uses (qualitative approach). The research instrument is the researcher himself as the main object of the research. The research data are in the form of quotes, words, sentences, and paragraphs that reflect the value of character education in a collection of inspirational short stories. The source of the research data is a collection of Inspirational short stories by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra. This data collection technique uses the technique of reading a collection of short stories repeatedly and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model technique with the steps of classifying, identifying, and interpreting. The conclusion of this research in the collection of short stories "Inspirational" by Rora Rizki Wandini, M. Pd.I, Rachbel, Yura, Mayra is that it contains several values of character education, namely: (1) religious values, (2) social care values, ( 3) the value of appreciating achievement, (4) the value of being friendly/communicative, and (5) the value of loving peace. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested to teachers that this research can add insight to increase students' interest in the world of literature. Meanwhile, students should be more creative, innovative in appreciating literary works. For further researchers, there is a need for further studies on the values of character education so that it is more useful to improve the quality of education
