Abstract

 

The use of written language is carried out by journalists using a variety of language styles. One of them is dysphemia. The use of general dysphemia is found in writings that contain content that is critical of the government. The purpose of this study was to determine, (1) the form of dysphemia in the news on Tribunjatim.com and Detik.com, and (2) how the meaning of dysphemia in the news on Tribunjatim.com and Detik.com. In literary research, the instrument is the researcher himself. The data collection technique in this research is a listening, reading and recording technique, in this case a study of the texts in the news in Tribunjatim.com and detik.com July and August 2021 editions. Qualitative data analysis may involve the process of data collection, interpretation, and reporting of results simultaneously and together. The results show that the linguistic form of dysphemia used in the news on Tribunews and detik.com is in the form of verbs, namely menuding, mengungkit, tembus, disinggung, nangkring, menuntut, terjun, bertingkah, sangkaan, pencintraan, meladeni, menekankan, bersolek, tersesat, menggencarkan, and mempengaruhi. The linguistic form of dysphemia used in the news on Tribunews and detik.com is in the form of adjectives, namely ogah, fatal, dangkalnya, kontroversi, rishi, intervensi, and tendensius. The linguistic form of dysphemia used in the news on Tribunnews and detik.com is in the form of nouns, namely, maladministrasi, modal, tawaran, and musuh. Meanwhile, the language of dysphemia used in the news on Tribunews and detik.com is in the form of phrases, namely saling serang, mengutuk keras, angkat bicara, tudingan kekerasan, tudingan liar, suara kuat, memakan waktu, and dugaan kejanggalan. The meaning of dysphemia in the news on Tribunnews and detik.com is to show irritation, affirm or strengthen the meaning. Attempts to be harsh or dysphemism are intentionally made to achieve the effect of assertive speech.
