Abstract

A work of fiction that offers a universal moral message, will usually be universally accepted. The Triangle Novel by Sapardi Djoko Damono tells the story of Suryo, Gendis and Noriko's journey in search of a fairy tale interpreter. So the purpose of this study is to find out the forms of moral values in the novel. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data is obtained from the novel Triangle by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The instrument used in this study was the researcher himself as the main instrument. Data were collected in three different ways, namely, listening, reading and note-taking techniques. The researcher reads the text in Sapardi Djoko Damono's novel Segitiga, listens to the data which indicates that there is a picture of moral values to be classified and interpreted. The results showed that the morals in the novel Segitiga by Sapardi Djoko Damono are, 1) human relations with oneself, 2) human relationships with other humans in the social and natural environment, and 3) human relationships with God.
