Retorika Bagian Pembahasan dalam Teks Artikel Ilmiah Berbahasa Indonesia di Jurnal Litera

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the rhetoric of the discussion section in literacy journal articles that are used to state Background Information, Statement of Results, (un) Expected Outcomes and References to Previous Research (2) describe the rhetoric of the discussion section in literacy journal articles that are used to states Explanation, Exemplification, Deduction and Hypothesis and Recommendation. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data used are in the form of text sentences in the discussion section in scientific articles in the Litera journal vol 20 no 2 July 2021 and the Grammatica journal vol 4 no 2. The data sources for this research are the Litera Journal vol 20 no 2 in 2021 and the Grammatical journal vol 4 no 2.

This study obtained the results that the discussion section in the Litera journal article did not have a complete systematic in the stages/moves stating the eight stages of the discussion section. Of the ten moves that were analyzed in the discussion section of the Litera journal article, all of them did not have the Deduction and Hypothesis move and the Recommendation move, while the Background Information move was found in all the discussion sections of the Litera journal article. Move Statements of Result are found in 6 articles, (Un) Expected Outcome 8 articles, and References to Previous are found in 1 article, namely in article 4.
