Abstract

This study aims to determine the method of pictures and songs to increase the English vocabulary of kindergarten children. This research is an experimental research using Control Group Post-test Design. The population of this research is kindergarten children. The research sample was taken using a total sampling technique, all of the population was used as a sample. The research instrument is a test of the results of the English vocabulary of kindergarten children. Data analysis was taken from the results of the students' post-test. Furthermore, descriptive test, normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t test were carried out. The results showed that the average test value of the experimental class was greater than the average value of the control class. The independent test sample t test has a significance less than 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a difference between the results of the English vocabulary of the experimental class and the control class, where the experimental class has a better score than the control class.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode gambar dan lagu untuk meningkatkan kosakata bahasa Inggris anak TK. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan Control Group Post-test Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak TK. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik total sampling, seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil kosakata bahasa Inggris anak TK. Analisis data diambil dari hasil post-test siswa. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji independent sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai tes kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol. Uji independent sample t test memiliki signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil kosakata bahasa Inggris kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, dimana kelas eksperimen memiliki skor yang lebih baik dari kelas kontrol.
