Abstract

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to discuss three types of speech acts in which there are elocutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts. From the three types of speech acts, the researcher also describes the forms of the three types of speech acts, among others. a) Locutionary speech acts have forms, namely statements, questions, and orders. b) The forms of illocutionary speech acts are assertive, directive, expressive, commissive and declaration acts. c) Perloksui speech act.

In conducting research on Teacher and Student Speech Acts in Debate Learning for class X SMKN I Kuwus using descriptive qualitative research. For data collection techniques that will be used in the study, namely listening, recording, and note-taking techniques. The reason the researcher took the title of speech acts of teachers and students in class X debate learning at SMKN I Kuwus is that these speech acts are often used by teachers and students during learning activities in class, the purpose of the researcher taking the title of this speech act is to add insight and hone the ability of researchers to determine the types, forms, and meanings of speech acts of teachers and students, which must be carried out by researchers according to the title, namely the researcher analyzes the types, forms and meanings of speech acts performed by teachers and students, the impact of the title of speech acts that researchers can understand the different types, form, and meaning of speech acts of teachers and students in class X debate learning at SMKN I Kuwus.

The results showed that the speech acts of teachers and students in debate learning contained 37 data, which included 14 data of elocutionary speech acts because in speaking teachers and students often used question and command speech acts, illocutionary acts of 20 data because teachers and students often used speech acts. the directive, and perlocutionary 3 data. Thus, the most dominant speech acts used by teachers and students of class X SMKN 1 Kuwus are illocutionary speech acts.
