Abstract

Philosophy is the basis of science that has developed over time, producing concepts that differentiate science from philosophy and has even become a special scientific discipline with its main focus and goals. Philosophy is the basis of social sciences and humanities. The purpose of this research is to present, discuss, and investigate the philosophy of social sciences and humanities. This research uses a literature study method. Data was collected through literature review and other relevant research. In this explanation and article, social sciences, Dilthey, and the methodological separation of sciences are discussed, and humanities as sciences. The aim of this article is to provide a better understanding of the philosophy of science, the development of the philosophy of science, the methodological divide of the sciences, and the humanities as sciences. Humanities is a field of science that tries to make humans more cultured or humane. Fields such as theology, philosophy, law, history, physiology, languages, literature, and art fall into this category. The study of the humanities focuses on behavior that maintains human values ​​and produces interpretations that enable the way humans interact with each other.
